History

Réal Huot starts up his waterworks distribution business in 1978 in the town of Sainte-Foy. In 1981, Huot undergoes an expansion: by opening a second branch in Saint-Hubert, the company finds itself in a position to take on the Greater Montreal market. A third branch is introduced in Mascouche two years later, allowing the business to serve its customers in the northern areas of the metropolitan region. In 1998, the company is purchased by Groupe Deschênes Inc., a specialist in the distribution of plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning, heating and refrigeration materials and already involved in waterworks. In 2003, with the aim of getting closer to its customers and offering superior service, the company establishes a fourth branch in Rimouski.

The family increases in size in May 2009 when the company decided to add the Sherbrooke branch that aims to better serve central Quebec .

In 2011, a service counter opens in St-Jérôme this time to develop the northern market .
